Investors don’t like iPad. Why?

I believe this is to be expected whenever a new product is out on the market. Frankly, its success doesn’t necessarily have to be related to what it has to offer as there are other aspects that turn it into a success or a failure. It is all about the receptiveness of the public. If you create a product that will be receptive to the public, you are most likely to have great success.

Another thing that is very important is to be as realistic as possible when it comes to marketing the product. A new product should not be sold based on dreams and hopes, but on facts. Nobody is saying that facts can’t be smoothed in a little bit, but they still need to represent reality. Making a false image for the product a company wants to launch might influence the entire campaign very badly. People are not stupid and there are quite a few who really know what they re talking about. Plus, no they have the internet to share their opinion with the world. This is exactly why a company should never rick looking stupid as it can totally loose credibility.

When it comes to investors, it is also a tricky move. Although investors usually decide for themselves if the product can offer good business or not, they are most of the time influenced by the public. In case of the iPad, a lot of investors didn’t seem very eager to jump the product. This was to be expected actually, as there are a lot of people who believe that the iPad is not a must have product as it doesn’t have a lot more things to offer than the usual iPod or iPhone.

These kinds of opinions are not facts but they can ruin a lot of marketing campaigns and pull away a lot of investors. A good investor however knows how to spot a good product when they see it. Not everyone is looking for immediate profit, as a lot of them are actually focused on making money in the long run. After all, this is the best kind of business that everyone is hoping for. There are a lot of users who believe this is exactly what the iPad has to offer. They believe people don’t see it now, but the iPad will develop and have an identity of its own in no time. It will slowly be adopted and highly used as it offers a lot of great possibilities. It can be a plus in many domains due to its size, shape, capacity and long battery usage. They believe it will be a must have product for a lot of business men but it will also have great success with young people and even education departments.

So, it is highly speculated that it will turn into a normal device that just about anyone has in their house and all these agitation is just a starting point. A good product will not be stopped from having great success as there will always be investors who will see it for what it is.
