There has been a lot of talk since Apple has launched the new ipad on the market. A lot of people have started comparing it to Kindle and there are quite a number of consumers that are sure that iPad will slowly put Kindle out of business. Trying to compare the two might also come in Kindle’s disadvantage as the iPad is the hottest hit around. This is exactly what will make an objective view almost impossible. The Apple iPad is quite popular right now, and a serious comparison would have to wait until the waters cool down. Kindle lovers have managed to get a few scores as they realized the iPad tablet will have certain disadvantages.

One of them is the fact that it will be directly connected to Apple’s personal book store. This reduces the number of books the consumer might have access to. It will also make it impossible for readers to transfer their own personal digital books to their iPad and this can be quite an inconvenient. Still a lot of people continue believing that iPad will slowly put Kindle out of business because it is multi functional and people will rather choose a device that will have a lot more to offer. It’s like choosing between a juice maker and a kitchen robot that will do just about everything, including making juice. After all, Kindle has nothing else to offer as it is a simple reader.

On the other hand, an iPad can entertain you on so many different levels. You have the possibility to read books, but also to watch movies, play games and browse the internet for just about anything. Another obvious reason anyone would choose an iPad over a Kindle is the screen. Not only is it great to look at because of it’s size and color, but it also serves the reader better and avoids getting your eyes tired. Digital books after all can become pretty damaging to the eyes. Although there are a lot of advantages as you get to carry them around easily and access them just about anytime you would like, they can still be pretty tiring to the eye. The iPad’s esthetics are also a considerable pro, as it can turn book reading into an even more pleasurable experience.

The iPad also makes it easier to swipe through the book as a lot of people need to do that before deciding if they want to read it or not. They can easily get to whatever page and quickly make a decision. To be fare, Kindle also has it’s pros as it is a device that has fully been projected to turn reading into a fun and efficient experience. A device like Kindle that was designed with the most comfortable conditions for a reader, has to be seriously taken for what it is worth. One of it’s best qualities is that it has the e-ink display. Though there are a lot of different opinions, a lot of people think that it is best readers use the e-ink screen as it protects the eyes when it comes to long term reading better than anything else.
